Renovation Progress!

I am so pleased and excited to share my dreams with you—-woman to woman!  And my Nephew, Thomas, veteran to veteran. I love the old farm and farmhouse in which I learned so much about life.  Right after the 1st of the year, yes, 2020, the renovations began.  (You are saying, “what great timing” I am sure!)  I have a wonderful Contractor who has completed many a project for me, Dennis Vaughn.  He allows me to let my imagination be free!  That is why he is graying prematurely! The farmhouse was being designed as an amazing RETREAT for women to spend a day, a couple of days, or possibly more to relax, have fun, and drop day-to-day responsibilities.  Now, it has been reconstructed since we were unable to save the original structure (except for the fireplace and foundation of the back porch). The retreat sits on the footprint of the original farmhouse. The activities, or lack of, will be shared through the blog.  I will be sharing pictures of the progress.  The picture above is from the old days when the house was occupied.  Down below, you will find photos of the house just before renovation began, and one of the siding being removed in preparation for its upgrade along with slides as the construction moved forward through unbearably cold, wet and the hot weather.  The growing before my eyes has been an astounding experience.  I will caption some pictures.
