“The Farm — Rustic Reset”
The Farm is focused on contributing to your wellness in its service delivery. It was operated as a farm for a couple 100 years. Now it is a retreat to nature. The home is completely new construction except for the fireplace and the foundation for the back porch/utility/laundry (my dad built that in the early 60’s). The Farm sits on nearly 120 acres. It is at the base of a range of Ozark hills where two valleys meet. The East Fork of Lost Creek rambles through the southern border. The Farm is only 5 miles from Lost Creek Landing on Lake Wappapello for fishing, only 10 miles from People’s Creek/Redman Campground, and 8 miles from the Dollar Store.
Relax
The home has a large wrap around porch with a hydrotherapy hot tub spa outside and an infrared sauna inside. These are great tools for relaxation after a nature stroll or just enjoying the outdoors. Have you heard of Forest Bathing? (Check out the information on Forest Bathing on this website.)
Refresh
A full hairstyling salon was installed for wedding parties. A Professional Hairstylist is available with notice and reservation. The Salon is also a TV center.
Retreat
Inside, there is a large recreation area with a Pianomation baby grand piano(uses CDs) and a very old foot operated player piano. There is plenty of seating area and a small selection of reading material. For groups, or individuals interested in crafting or sewing, there are materials and equipment.
Renew
The living area includes a large down sofa in front of the gas fireplace, as well as a coffee, tea, hot chocolate, latte, cappuccino, and espresso station. The living area has a 24-foot vaulted ceiling with skylights. Beautiful vintage brass lights and antique glass globes supplement the skylights. There is a well-equipped modern kitchen where meals are served from two buffet locations on various vintage and modern china. On the ground floor are 2 full bathrooms, with one having a walk-in shower and another a bidet. One of these is handicap accessible. One bedroom downstairs is available for wheelchair accessibility.
Rest
The stairway is unique. It is equipped with an electric stairlift for convenience and safety. It can be operated remotely for conveniently moving luggage without having to carry it. Upstairs are six bedrooms and three full baths. One bedroom is self-contained with a private bath. This room has a double bed. One bedroom has a queen bed and an outdoor exit with beautiful silver wrought iron and huge posts supporting the two landings. Four of the bedrooms have vintage and antique twin beds. Twin beds are convenient for events such as retreats, etc. Five bedrooms have skylights for nighttime star gazing!
The Farm is a beautiful getaway. It is accessed by a choice of dirt and gravels roads–each 1-3 miles long off state highways. This does not hamper access to modern communication or recreation. The Farm maintains free Wi-Fi and internet for guests. Television includes Directv Streaming, Netflix, Prime Video, and other select stations. For those who have difficulty witih mobile communication there is free access to a landline telephone.
Bed and Breakfasts come with breakfast included. If needed, other meals can be purchased, with notice, for the prices stated on the prices page. Event venues do not include meals. Retreats can be purchased with meals. Snacks, coffee and teas are available for Retreats. Alcohol is not available for purchase. It is acceptable to bring your own choice of spirits. Serving glasses are available.
The Farm offers another option for relaxing. The Farm is available to purchase use of the area, hot tub and sauna by the hour. Food can be available with adequate notice.
