Counseling Specifically Designed To Meet the Needs of Women

How many of us have had a bad day, week, month or even months?  We think of ourselves as tough, self-reliant and plough on through whatever comes our way.  Hopefully, we have friends to share our feelings.  That isn’t always the case.  I had over 20 years without realizing I needed help.  (It takes some of us a little longer.)

But let us not be too hard on ourselves about this.  We have probably already told ourselves about all the “mistakes” every day.  That striving to be perfect to the world around us.  We are exhausted!

The other issue is what our belief of what psychological counseling is.  The many years that have shaped our thinking has created a stigma.  This stigma states that we must really have something wrong with us to have to go talk to a “Shrink”!  “What will people think of me?”  And, for some of us, we believe that anything psychological is anti our “Christian” beliefs.

Quite an island we have created.  I am letting you know you are not alone in your thoughts.  I do know, however, after 35 years in the psychological world, that thinking is not necessarily accurate.  I have worked on myself and who I am for many years, along with many women.  Having a compassionate, confidential, empathetic ear to listen to our world issues will save the day many times over.

Do not miss out on helping yourself.  I have listening ears and a confidential mouth!
