“I’m not old enough to know everything.”—J.M. Barrie

Another author!  He wrote Peter Pan, Return to Neverland & Tinker Bell.  Right away you know he had a fanciful imagination.  Keep it light!

I wanted to share ‘holistic’ as a concept.  I have loved and supported and pushed the idea of holism.  All it means is we are complete individuals with various systems: mind, body, spiritual.  Well-being is a term I use to include the health of all systems at the same time.  We get to determine when we feel healthy.  I have come to learn ‘to experience’ is an integral part of well-being.  Through this site and through the business of Lost Creek Bluebird, LLC, my goal is to introduce more ways to appreciate where we can experience and/or how to take the time to recognize the joy surrounding us daily.

I have received certification in Holistic Nutrition Consulting through the American Fitness Professionals & Associates.  I specifically chose this approach to ensure the knowledge of how prepared healthy and delicious meals would be a product of the Retreat.

Because the Retreat facility was a bigger project than I anticipated and due to the pandemic we are experiencing, it has allowed me time to review how to use the facility more effectively for more people.  To have a beautiful facility, exquisite natural surroundings, new wildflower beds, more wildlife habitat, and not be able to share with as many as possible is self-indulgent!  Not what God wants of me and the gifts He has given.  So!  Beside Retreats for women to enjoy, de-stress and relax, and Disabled Veterans to enjoy nature, enjoy esprit de corps, and hunting, we are adding additional opportunities.

There is a beautiful yard (used to be the garden patch) to be used for any type of Venue, i.e., weddings, anniversaries, reunions, etc., complete with a gazebo, pond, and willow trees. Retreats generally are a one- or two-night stay.  That leaves time for others to have exposure to nature.  A Bed and Breakfast schedule is being planned to include, if requested, a packed picnic lunch.  Unscheduled time can be confirmed on an hourly basis simply to kick back and enjoy the hot tub or the sauna or the trails.

What fun to plan and serve healthy foods (with a little indulgence on the side)!
